Enterprise Data Integration for KONE

At KONE, one of the world’s leading manufacturers in the elevator and escalator industry, I served as one of the core engineers on an enterprise-level Data Movement Layer (DML) initiative. The project aimed to replace Mulesoft with a highly scalable, AWS-native solution capable of handling 3 million events per day.

The system was built with over 200 unique interfaces and organized using robust architectural patterns:

My Responsibilities

  • Implemented designed solutions using Infrastructure as Code (CDK), Python, and Azure DevOps
  • Applied AWS best practices in security, logging, and error handling using:
    • CloudWatch, IAM, WAF, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, VPC, and SSO
  • Actively contributed to system design discussions
  • Supported and mentored junior team members
  • Delivered regular technical demos to stakeholders and clients
