As part of a compact, agile team, I led key engineering efforts in migrating legacy databases to AWS and designing a Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) for structured data analytics.
This project was developed for one of the largest parts manufacturers in the United States, focusing on automation, reliability, and future scalability.
Architecture Highlights
-
Data Ingestion and Migration
- AWS DMS, Glue, S3
-
Orchestration & Processing
- AWS Step Functions, Glue ETL jobs, Athena SQL queries
-
Architecture
- Medallion (Bronze → Silver → Gold)
My Responsibilities
- Migrated legacy databases to AWS using DMS and managed schema transformations
- Built structured ETL pipelines using AWS Glue for ingesting and transforming data into the Medallion layers
- Wrote Athena queries for data cleansing, enrichment, and aligning to business-ready schemas
- Developed Step Function workflows to orchestrate end-to-end pipeline logic
- Recreated legacy logic from Alteryx workflows using AWS-native services to ensure smooth business continuity
- Worked closely with analysts and stakeholders to align data outputs with analytics and reporting needs
